This tranquil, private equestrian property features 6 extremely large fenced paddocks, a medical paddock, longe ring, Olympic size outdoor riding arena and 12 European style, well-lit, airy stalls around an open patio between the two barn complex.
Private, groomed trails around open fields through wooden grounds and streams, as well as proximity to the trails of the 300 acre Rockefeller Estate provide a beautiful backdrop of nature's most exquisite scenery for handwalking and pleasure riding for SilverBrook boarders.
The outdoor ring and longe ring provide spacious accomodations for training of young horses and seasonal dressage and hunter/ jumper lessons.
24 hour on-premise staff provides quality, customized care that caters to the special requirements of every horse. SilverBrook limits its boarding offering to 10 horses in order to insure that every horse in our care receives the most personalized attention to its individual grooming, nutritional, medical and health needs. Our reputation for pristine barn and paddock conditions is based on our attention to detail.
The finest grain, hay, shavings and quality grooming products are used, matched to each horse's dietary and grooming needs. Each horse's nutritional needs are evaluated by a certified equine nutritionist to provide the optimum mix of grain, nutrients and hay, based on their dietary requirements, age and breed. Supplements and medications are administered based on owner/Vet directives, as well as monthly worming.
Morning and evening meals, plus night check hay and water and daily apples and carrot snacks comprise the daily feeding routine, along with daily grooming. All horses are offered full day turnout and seasonal needs such as turnout and stable blanketing appropriate to temperature changes, fly spray and masks are attended to throughout each day's routine. On-staff professionals and private trainers are available for hand-walking and daily exercising and training.
Regular visits from leading equine professionals include Dr. Paul Mountan and the Veterinarians of the reknown Rhinebeck Equine group. Pharmaceutical products are kept on-hand and administered with the owner's permission on an emergency basis, or when supplied by veterinarians for medical issues, as they arise.
